Lucky 21

Based on the game: Chinese Blackjack, Ban-Luck, Ban-Nag, or Xì Dách. 

It largely depends on what part of the world you're from, but here we call it Lucky 21! 

The rules are simple if you're familiar with Blackjack. 

Familiar with Blackjack: 

1. The key differences are that Aces are worth: 1, 10, or 11. 

2. Aces are considered lucky so having two of them on the flop means you win double! 10+11 = Lucky 21

3. Getting 5 cards and having 21 or less points is also lucky and grants a double-payout as well! 

4. A penalty of double your bet to be paid out to the remaining players occurs if you draw 27 or above points! It's considered bad sportsmanship because it ruins the pull of the cards for the remaining players. 

5. House is passed around each turn so each player is eventually both House and Player.

If you're new to Blackjack: 

1. The button gets passed to the right at the start of the turn one spot.

Deck gets shuffled. House starts with one card, passing one card to each player 

to the right in a counter-clockwise fashion until each player has 

two cards. 

If the House has 21 at the start, they automatically win. Unless

another play has a 21 as well, in which case it is a tie/push/chop

with that specific player. 

Player to the right of House starts and decides whether or not they 

need an extra card. The first player on the right can pull up to 5 

cards, in hand, until they’re satisfied with the number in their

hand or they bust. 

Table goes around until all players have the desired number of cards. 

The House can decide whether or not they would like additional cards at the end of the draw phase of the other players. They can bet against a player after they have decided to stop drawing cards and holding. If the dealer busts, any remaining players who haven’t revealed their cards automatically win if they have a score of 21 or below. If somebody has bust along with the dealer, then no money gets exchanged between house and aforementioned player. 

22 or above is a bust.

Pocket 21 - normal
